Saudi Arabia to Grant 96-hrs Valid Visas to Holders of Saudia Flight Tickets

The flag carrier of Saudi Arabia, Saudia, has said that all passengers holding a flight ticket from the airline will be permitted to enter this territory for a maximum of four days or 96 hours, through the new program called “Your Ticket is a Visa” according to local media reports.

It has also been confirmed that travellers will also be permitted to use this time in order to perform Haj as well as Umrah in Saudi Arabia, VisaGuide.World reports.

Authorities in the Kingdom also confirmed that the system is also effective on a number of UAE-based airlines, while Emirates, Fly Dubai, Air Arabia, Etihad and Abu Dhabi are offering transit visas of 48 to 96 hours along with plane tickets.

In this regard, a spokesperson for Saudia said that when travellers book a plane ticket online, they will be asked whether or not they require a visa. In case they do need a visa, they will be redirected to fill in a form and also complete other procedures, not surpassing three minutes long.

It has been reported that the service will be extended to all international airports within this territory. According to authorities in Indonesia, the decision has been taken and coordinated with the Guests of God service program and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah as well as the Ministry of Interior.

Authorities in the Kingdom are continuously attempting to ease the travel process for internationals, especially for those who plan to travel to Saudi Arabia in order to perform Umrah.

Previously, authorities in Saudi Arabia announced that more than four million Umrah visas were issued by authorities in the Kingdom in the past five months, based on the figures provided by the data provided by the Ministry of Hajj.

In addition, local media reports reveal that these kinds of visas were issued to pilgrims from worldwide countries since the start of the Umrah season last year.

Regarding the issue, the CEO and Member of the Board at Saudi Tourism Authority and Managing Director of Nusuk, Fahd Hamidaddin, stressed that Saudi Arabia continues its efforts to welcome a large number of citizens, including Muslims from Turkey.

“Through Nusuk and working with our travel and trade partners in Turkey, we are eliminating barriers, expanding travel options and choices, and driving down costs to make it easier for Muslims to embark on their spiritual journey with comfort and confidence,” he emphasized.

It has also been reported that the process of holding this kind of visa is easy and can be done under three minutes.
