Indian Outbound Leisure Flight Bookings Surge by 40%: Report Shows

International leisure flight bookings from Indian citizens have surged by 40 percent for trips between June and August this year, compared to the statistics of the same period last year.

Such conclusions have been reached in the latest report of travel solutions provider RateGain, while emphasizing that they represent the most significant increase of outbound leisure flight bookings from India in the post-pandemic period, despite the fact that the figures are still below pre-pandemic levels by 15-20 percent, VisaGuide.World reports.

The recent survey revealed that the most notable increase in flight bookings from India has been noted in: Singapore, San Francisco, Melbourne, Toronto, as well as Bali. The same source revealed that the most booked destinations for the period are the United States as well as Canada while Singapore and Bali are the most popular choices in Asian countries.

According to RateGain, Thailand remained the top destination choice when it comes to leisure travel while destinations like the United Arab Emirates, as well as Qatar, remained the favorite destination for business travel.

In spite of the difficulties caused by the spread of the Coronavirus and its new variants, Indian travellers are eager to visit other countries, and they are eligible to travel visa-free to 26 countries, at present.
