India expects to register a high number of arrivals from Saudia Arabia now that the country has restored its e-Visa services for nationals of the latter.
The Indian authorities decided to restore the e-Visa services for Saudi Arabians back in March, and now all those wishing to reach the country can do so under facilitated rules, VisaGuide.World reports.
Announcing the news on the restoration of the e-Visa services, the Embassy of India in Riyadh said a couple of months ago that the services would be restored for all available durations and number of entries.
“The facility of e-Visa has been restored for nationals of Saudi Arabia with immediate effect. E-Visa stands restored in all five sub-categories, i.e. e-tourist visa, e-business visa, e-medical visa, e-medical attendant visa and e-conference visa for all available durations and number of entries,” the statement of the Embassy reads.
The decision on the restoration of e-Visa services became effective immediately, meaning that all nationals of Saudi Arabia who currently plan to enter India can do so by applying for an e-Visa.
The India e-Visa is issued to citizens of a total of 161 countries for reasons such as business, tourism, and medical purposes.
All those eligible who plan to apply for the e-Visa of India must access the official website, fill in the application form with the correct information, and pay the application fee.
The application form is split into a few parts in which the applicants are required to write down their passport type, nationality, date of birth, port of arrival, expected date of arrival and select the visa they wish to apply for.
Moreover, applicants must write down personal information, details about their place of residence, and other additional information, among other things.
While there are different types of e-Visa that India offers, those planning to reach the country for travel purposes need to apply for an e-Tourist Visa.
When applying for this type of visa, all applicants must make sure to keep copies of documents ready at hand so they are ready to fill out the application.
The Indian e-Tourist Visa visa €35, and the payment can be made by using a credit/debit card or payment wall.
As for the processing time, it takes around four days for India e-Visa to be processed, meaning that you do not have to apply much longer in advance than for the other types of visas.
The India e-Tourist Visa remains valid for a year from the date of approval, and all its holders can stay in India for up to 90 days for tourism purposes.
