Dubai to Issue Golden Visas for Imams, Preachers & Muezzins Ahead of Eid

The Dubai Media Office (DMO) has announced that the city plans to grant golden visas to mosque imams, as well as preachers, muezzins, muftis and other researchers who have completed a total of 20 years of service in the country.

The recent decision was confirmed by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai as well as Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai, taking into consideration the directives  of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, VisaGuide.World reports.

Besides, authorities in Dubai have decided to give cash rewards on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr as a token of gratitude, in addition to the golden visas.

The recent decision comes in appreciation of their ongoing efforts in introducing the teaching of Islam, particularly in the month of Ramadan.

The government of the UAE has introduced the Golden Visa scheme for wealthy  foreign investors, giving them the opportunity to benefit from this program if they make a financial contribution and also meet the needed requirements. This kind of visa is issued for five to ten years, depending on the eligibility category of the applicant.

Previously, authorities in UAE revealed they would issue 100,000 golden visas to leading programmers from worldwide countries, as part of efforts to attract top talents.

The Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence in the UAE, Omar Sultan Al Olama, while confirming the decision said that such a plan was being drafted with stakeholders in an effort to further enhance the digital industry by ensuring that government decisions prompt innovation friendliness across the board.

“The UAE is involving all relevant parties in building a clear roadmap to stimulate digital industries and ensure that current government policies, initiatives, and strategies promote innovation and business friendliness for all sectors,” Al Olama pointed out.

In addition, as part of efforts to facilitate the application process when it comes to the Golden Visa Program, UAE leaders previously announced that they launched a new platform called “One Touch”.

The new changes were confirmed by the UAE Federal Authority for Identity, Nationality, Customs and Port Security (ICP).

Wealthy foreigners attracted by the UAE Golden Visa Program are now subject to an easier process after the new “One Touch” platform will help them with their applications for the Golden Visa Program, issuance of other visas and also the issuance of residency identity.
